Parents usually the Mothers attend the textbook project inauguration toting young children along who are too young or are not enrolled in the school.

In the highlands of Guatemala, 3,500 students were enrolled into the CoEd self-sustaining textbook program for 2005. Travellers from the UK and US participated in school inagurations. The tour lasted from 2/18/2005 to 2/27/2005. School year begins in Janurary. No textbooks available until this program, assisting grades 7th thru 9th.
